Every Cedar adviser has over 20 years of experience and is equipped with sophisticated portfolio management and stock execution tech. We have solid business relationships with most large and mid-tier stockbrokers and together we help our clients generate outcomes that are well above average.


David Basha

David has a long history of building strong, trusted relationships with his clients. And just as the deep stable roots of the cedar tree allow it to provide shade for many generations to come, these long-standing affiliations and industry associations form the foundations of Cedar Asset Management.

David, Cedar’s sole director, holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance. He specialises in listed and unlisted equity and fixed-income investments.

Prior to founding Cedar, David spent 12 years as an Associate Director at Macquarie Bank and 5 years as Senior Vice President of Morgan Stanley where he developed a broad base of strong and trusted relationships in corporate advisory and broking.

Stephen Wilson

Steve has a proud 25-year history of providing high-quality financial advisory and wealth services. He is well-known for cultivating trusted, enduring relationships with both clients and industry.

Tailoring his approach to meet the unique financial needs and goals of each client, Steve is dedicated to preserving, protecting and growing their wealth. He specialises in equity investments and has a focus on high quality companies.

Having spent 17 years working at Macquarie Bank before joining Cedar Asset Management, Steve has also held roles at both Salomon Smith Barney and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business from the Australian Catholic University in 1998.

Glen Keane

Glen Keane has worked in the stockbroking industry since 1983. Early in his career, Glen worked at JB Dickson Flecknoe and Osborne, Ord Minnett and Merrill Lynch. While at these three firms he managed a back office, worked as an operator and principal trader on the old ASX trading floor. He also one of the original computerised SEATS operators. In 1990, he joined Bain and Company which became Deutsche Bank, as an operator. In 1993, he started advising clients, he left Deutsche in 1997 and joined Prudential Bache which merged with BNP Paribas where he remained a stockbroker until they closed in 2002.

In 2002, Glen joined Salomon Smith Barney which ultimately became Morgan Stanley where he remained till 2015 when he left and started Keane Financial which is now part of Cedar Asset Management group where his key business focus continues to be servicing the brokerage needs of his clients.

Sao Tran

Sao is a seasoned management accountant bringing 9 years of experience from a diverse background - more recently asset management and private equity firms, financial services and the private tertiary education sector preceding this.

As Office Manager for Cedar Asset Management, Sao manages the operations of the firm while attending the administrative and clerical needs of the Director and licensees - including co-ordination of share offerings to corporate investors; providing financial analysis support; new client onboarding and portfolio allocation for existing clients as well as management of their files and reporting.

Prior to completing a Bachelor of Accounting and her professional life in Australia, Sao worked as a creditor for Techcombank (one of Vietnam's largest commercial banks) after attaining a Bachelor of Economics.
